Pavlof volcano (Alaska, USA): alert lowered to normal

The Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) lowered the alert level back to GREEN/NORMAL.
Since small explosion signals had last been detected on 19 Oct, no other signs of activity or unrest have been found since then.

The elevated seismic activity observed in mid May has again declined to background levels. TRhe Alaska Volcano Observatory lowered the Aviation Color Code and Alert Level to GREEN/NORMAL.

Low-level seismic tremor and increased steaming has been observed; Pavlof is notorious for not giving much warning before erupting so AVO has raised the alert as a new eruption may start at any time.
