Pavlof volcano (Alaska, USA) activity update: alert level increased to advisory

The Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) reported that seismic activity has increased at the volcano over the past days. The seismic activity represents an increase from background levels.

No eruptive activity or emissions from the summit have been observed.
The Aviation Color Code and Alert Level have changed to Yellow/Advisory. This does not mean that an eruption is likely or imminent. Past eruptions of Pavlof occurred with little or no warning.
