Seward Alaska / Weak shaking (MMI III) : My roommate and I were reading in bed. We felt a strange sensation at the same time and realized it was an earthquake. This happened around 12:45am. It lasted less than a minute.  
Anchorage / Light shaking (MMI IV) : I was awakened in my waterbed and experienced significant scary, jolting water waves. I was in the process of getting up to move to a safer place when it stopped shaking.

Didn't notice anything disturbed in house. Another example of the myth that cockatiels predict quakes. Unless the complaining their music was still on just before 11pm was actually their 'heads up'. Glad it was short lasting and not stronger.
