Two small earthquakes of magnitudes 2.6 and 3.4 occurred near downtown San Francisco yesterday noon, at 11:36 and 11:43 local time, respectively.
Their epicenters were close to San Leandro, about 20 km from the city center.
Although the quakes were very small and pose no danger, many people felt and reported them. In most cases, only a light and quick shake was felt that lasted less than 2 seconds.
