Just 20 minutes ago, a 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck near Nasugbu, Batangas, Calabarzon, Philippines. The tremor was recorded in the morning on Saturday 15 May 2021 at 11:04 am local time, at an intermediate depth of 94 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by France's Réseau National de Surveillance Sismique (RéNaSS), which listed it as a magnitude 5.3 earthquake. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 4.5.
