A magnitude 4.1 earthquake near Ise, Ise-shi, Mie, Japan, was reported only 11 minutes ago by Japan's National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NIED), considered the main national agency that monitors seismic activity in this part of the world. The earthquake occurred at a great depth of 392 km beneath the epicenter in the morning on Wednesday 7 July 2021 at 10:12 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
