Terremoto leve mag. 4.4 - Oruro, 65 km SSW of Llallagua, Rafael Bustillo, Departamento de Potosi, Bolivia, 18 Jul 5:59 pm (GMT -4)

A magnitude 4.4 earthquake near Llallagua, Rafael Bustillo, Departamento de Potosi, Bolivia, was reported only 9 minutes ago by the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), considered one of the key international agencies that monitor seismic activity worldwide. The earthquake occurred at an intermediate to considerable depth of 258 km beneath the epicenter in the afternoon on Sunday 18 July 2021 at 5:59 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.4 earthquake as well.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Challapata (pop. 8,000, 11 km away), Llallagua (pop. 28,100, 65 km away), and Huanuni (pop. 15,500, 74 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
