An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 occurred only 8 minutes ago 84 km southwest of Salmonete, Panama, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 10 km beneath the epicenter near Salmonete, Soná District, Provincia de Veraguas, Panama, in the morning on Thursday 22 July 2021 at 8:33 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
