Moderate earthquake of magnitude 4.8 just reported 38 km northwest of Bikaner, India

Just 15 minutes ago, a 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck near Bikaner, Rajasthan, India. The tremor was recorded late at night on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021, at 10:45 pm local time, at a shallow depth of 10 km below the surface.
The event was filed by India's National Center for Seismology (NCS), the first seismological agency to report it.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Bikaner (pop. 576,000) located 38 km from the epicenter, Napāsar (pop. 21,800) 58 km away, Deshnoke (pop. 16,700) 61 km away, Sri Dūngargarh (pop. 48,000) 90 km away, and Nokha (pop. 55,900) 90 km away.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Anūpgarh (pop. 33,300) located 98 km from the epicenter.
