Magnitude 4.9 earthquake strikes near Trikala, Tríkala, Thessaly, Greece

Just 7 minutes ago, a 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck near Trikala, Tríkala, Thessaly, Greece. The tremor was recorded in the morning on Sunday, April 24th, 2022, at 7:28 am local time, at an intermediate depth of 74.5 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, the first seismological agency to report it.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Theodoriana (pop. 1000) located 12 km from the epicenter, Kalambaka (pop. 8,100) 35 km away, Trikala (pop. 61,700) 38 km away, Arta (pop. 21,900) 46 km away, Karditsa (pop. 32,800) 51 km away, and Preveza (pop. 17,300) 77 km away.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Larisa (pop. 144,700) located 94 km from the epicenter, Agrinio (pop. 46,900) 95 km away, and Kozani (pop. 36,500) 100 km away.
