Moderate earthquake of magnitude 4.5 just reported 44 km southwest of Chilpancingo de los Bravo, Mexico

An intermediate magnitude 4.5 earthquake was reported in the afternoon near Chilpancingo de los Bravo, Guerrero, Mexico.
According to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the quake hit on Thursday, June 2nd, 2022, at 4:06 pm local time at an intermediate depth of 79 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake which listed the quake at magnitude 4.5 as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 4.5.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Xolapa (pop. 960) located 5 km from the epicenter, Xaltianguis (pop. 7,000) 11 km away, Tierra Colorada (pop. 11,500) 14 km away, Chilpancingo de los Bravo (pop. 187,300) 44 km away, Acapulco (pop. 673,500) 45 km away, Tixtla de Guerrero (pop. 22,800) 51 km away, Zumpango del Rio (pop. 24,700) 55 km away, Ayutla de los Libres (pop. 15,400) 65 km away, and Chilapa de Alvarez (pop. 31,200) 70 km away.
