Mexico's National Seismological Service (SSN) reported a magnitude 4.5 quake in Mexico near Puerto Madero, Tapachula, Chiapas, only 29 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early afternoon on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022, at 2:49 pm local time at a shallow depth of 25 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.3.
