Chobe-region, North-West Botswana (735.8 km NNW of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / rattling, vibrating / 2-5 s : Was sitting in office. Shaking was felt and a deep rumbling was heard. First faint, then louder and then fainter again until gone, like a wave, but quite audible.(Like a big engine, but muffled) This happened at approx 15h50 on Thursday 29th-Local Botswana time. Ome of my guests commented that they were having a nap, but were olted awake by it. Another Lodge-owner approx 80km SW from us,also felt it as well as people on Impalila Island (Namibia)NE of the Botswana/Namibia border. Thanks.
