Moderate earthquake of magnitude 4.6 just reported 93 km northeast of Iwaki, Japan

An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 occurred early morning on Sunday 18 July 2021 at 1:21 am local time near Iwaki, Iwaki-shi, Fukushima, Japan, as reported by Japan's National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NIED).
According to preliminary data, the quake was located at a moderately shallow depth of 52.2 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
