Etna volcano (Sicily, Italy) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 6 August-12 August 2014 (New Activity / Unrest)
On 9 August INGV reported that volcanic tremor decreased and an ash plume rose to 1 km above the July 25 area of Etna and returned to strong Strombolian activity in the evening. Strombolian activity increased at New Southeast Crater that was accompanied by small emissions of black ash that remained within the crater.
