KVERT reported that a daily thermal anomaly over Bezymianny was visible in satellite images during 26 March through 1 April. Strong fumarolic activity, incandescence at the lava dome, and avalanches were also reported. Dome collapses were detected on 25 and 31 March and ash clouds rose to 4 km (13,000 ft) a.s.l., expanding 40 km E and 20 km SW, respectively.The Aviation Color Code remained at Yellow (the second lowest level on a four-color scale).
