The extrusive-explosive eruption of the volcano continues.

The Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo registered an ash plume today that rose 7,545 ft (2,300 m) above the summit and drifted west.
A visible glow, near-constant emissions of gas and steam and incandescence of the dome blocks and hot avalanches on the eastern slope suggest continued rise of fresh magma accumulating in the lava dome.
