The Hummmock (1.1-0.9 million years ago) (Ma), Berrembea, and Barambah (0.6 Ma) basalts from the Bundaberg, Gin Gin and Gayndah areas, respectively, are of Pleistocene age. The northern Boyne area has also had Pleistocene volcanism (Robertson, Sutherland and Hollis, inJohnson et al. 1989).---
