Elevated surface temperatures were observed in satellite 27 Oct morning. AVO has received no other reports of unusual activity at the volcano.

AVO reported that satellite images of Cleveland from 17 August showed that the summit crater was tephra-covered, funnel-shaped, and contained no lava dome. Cloud cover prevented observations during 28 August-3 September. [details]

A small explosive eruption ocurred at Cleveland volcano on August 19th, at approximately 6:55 PM (local time), the Alaska Volcano Observatory reports. A low level ash cloud was visible on satellite images. It drifted to the southeast and dispersed over several hours. [details]
