The volcano is emitting a weak plume of gas and steam. Minor ash venting could be observed yesterday evening. No glow was visible on night-time webcam images. SERNAGEOMIN has not posted new activity reports. ...plus

New ash emissions started last night. The increase of activity also manifested itself in visible incandescence since the night of 26-27 Sep. The volcano had been quiet since the last time similar ash emissions and some incandescence were spotted in mid August. Sernageomin has not (yet) commented on this new activity.

Weak sporadic ash emissions have been observed yesterday, mixing with the usual white degassing plume. In addition, a small SO2 plume from the volcano could be seen on satellite data. This could be the result of a new magma intrusion, or be a still result of the previous crisis about a month ago, when hundreds of people were evacuated but no eruption followed. ...plus

Seismic activity has dropped sharply from 13 events / hour to only one per hour during only 9 hours. No corresponding changes were observed at the surface. The volcano continues to emit a small plume of steam and gas.

Seismic and degassing activity have decreased, although SERNAGEOMIN maintains alert level "orange". A total of 120 quakes, mostly near the surface, were counted during 8-9 June. No volcanic tremor was detected. A white steam and gas plume was rising 300 m from the crater. ...plus
