Fuego volcano (Guatemala) activity update

10:05 AM | AUTEUR : T
Since yesterday, INSIVUMEN counted 21 explosions (16 weak and 5 moderate) with ash clouds reaching 600 - 900 meters above the crater and drifting 10 kilometers to the W and NW.
The explosions were accompanied by rumbling sounds and shock waves that rattled doors and windows in houses near the volcano. Incandescent material was seen ejected to 75-150 m above the crater and falling back triggered avalanches towards Taniluya and Ash canyons. Weak incandescence was observed at the central crater during the night.
