Actualités volcan: Volcan Fuego (Guatemala)

mer., 29 août 2012, 10:05
The lava flow towards the Taniluya canyon is 200 m long and produces small incandescent rockfalls. A weak glow was observed from the crater at night. INISIVUMEH mentions no explosions.
sam., 25 août 2012, 10:05
A weak steam and gas plume is rising from the crater steadily to 200 meters height and moving west. Weak explosions were observed, generating gray columns up to 400 m high, and drifting about 10 km to the west and northwest. Read more...
ven., 24 août 2012, 10:05
Current seismic signal from FG3 station (INSIVUMEH)
No larger explosions were observed at Fuego yesterday, but there is weak incandescence visible at the summit. Read more... lire toutes
jeu., 23 août 2012, 10:05
An eruption of Fuego this afternoon
Activity has not changed since yesterday. Strombolian activity and two active lava flows about 400 m long are recorded.
Current seismic signal from FG3 station (INSIVUMEH)
mer., 22 août 2012, 10:05
Heat sources at Fuego volcano showing the recent lava flows (MODIS, Univ. Hawai'i)
The lava flow towards barranca Taniluyá is 500 m long and a second flow towards the Cenizas canyon has a length of 600 m. Both produce constant avalanches of incandescent blocks tumbling down towards the vegetation line. Read more...
mar., 21 août 2012, 10:05
Seismic signal FG3 station on 21 Aug (INSIVUMEH)
The lava flow towards the canyon Taniluyá has increased in length and now reaches 500 meters. From its front blocks detach and roll down to the edge of the vegetation. Read more...
dim., 19 août 2012, 09:42
Explosive activity at Fuego has been diminishing a bit; INSIVUMEH only reported 4 weak explosions during the latest 24 hour summary, which produced ash plumes rising 400 m and drifting west. Read more... lire toutes
jeu., 16 août 2012, 10:05
The volcano produces occasional strombolian explosions ejecting incandescent blocks to about 100 m and producing ash plumes of 100-400 m height. The lava flow is reported to be 250 m long in the latest update from the volcano observatory.
mar., 14 août 2012, 10:05
Current seismic signal from Fuego (FG3 station, INSIVUMEH)
Activity has not changed much at Fuego. 13 weak to moderate strombolian explosions with ash plumes to 200 – 400 meters height, hissing gas venting at intervals of 1-8 minutes, and a 200 m active lava flow shedding constant rock avalanches were reported in the last daily update (note that the previous day, the lava flow was said to have been 300 m long - either the figures are a bit indicative, which is normal, or the flow has decreased a lot since yesterday). The seismogram shows lots of activity as usual.
lun., 13 août 2012, 10:05
INSIVUMEH reports 8 weak explosions during the past day, generating ash columns of 200-500 m height. Read more...
