Current seismic signal of Fuego (FG3 station, INSIVUMEH)
Activity at the volcano remains both explosive and effusive at fluctuating levels. After an increase during 22-23 Jan, it decreased yesterday, but seems to have picked up today again.
The latest INSIVUMEH report mentioned 13 weak and 4 moderate explosions during 23 Jan with ash plumes up to 800 m height, abundant lava avalanches on the upper slope following strombolian ejections of up to 100-150 m above the crater, and the continued active flow, which was 100 m long yesterday.

Fuego's seismic signal this morning (FG3 station, INSIVUMEH)
mercredi, janv. 22, 2014
It appears that activity has increased over night. A strong continuous seismic signal (probably tremor) suggests an increase in lava effusion could be occurring. The next update from INSIVUMEH later today will give a better picture. ... [details]
vendredi, janv. 17, 2014
No changes in the explosive and effusive activity at the volcano occurred. ... [details]
Fuego volcano this morning
mercredi, janv. 15, 2014
Activity remains elevated with abundant lava ejected to 75-125 m height during occasional moderately strong strombolian explosions that are followed by ash plumes rising up to about 700 m and drifting approx. 10 km to the S and SW. Rumblings like locomotive-engine sounds lasting 2-5 minutes accompany the degassing during the eruptions. The lava flow on the SE slope towards the Trinidad canyon reached 300 meters length this morning and produced small glowing avalanches. [details]
mardi, janv. 14, 2014
Activity continues at moderate levels as during the past days. INSIVUMEH counted 13 moderate explosions with shock waves and ash plumes rising 300-800 m. The lava flow on the upper southern slope towards the Trinidad drainage was 300 m long this morning. [details]
lundi, janv. 13, 2014
[Update] The volcano observatory observed an increase in explosions and a new lava flow. Shock waves from explosions could be felt in up to 15 km distance and they eject abundant lava onto the upper slopes. ... [details]
