Hell's Half Acre

Hell's Half Acre is the easternmost and second largest of the young basaltic lava fields of the Snake River Plain, Idaho. It covers an area of about 400 sq km SW of Idaho Falls. The last eruptions occurred about 5200 years ago. [informations]

Shoshone

The Shoshone lava field north of Twin Falls, Idaho, is the westernmost of the young lava fields of the Snake River Plain. Its most prominent feature is a L-shaped 2 to 5 km wide and 60 km long lava flow.
