Introduction
Williams & Warden (1964) report an eruption of Paama in 1897 (p 54) but Warden (1967) reports extensive erosion has destroyed the original volcanoes on Paama and classifies them as older than the Pliocene-early Pleistocene volcanoes of Emae.---
