Anak Krakatau came back to life in late October 2007, following a major eruption in 1996 and a minor one in 2001. After a pause of ca. 9 months between August 2008 and March 2009, it erupted again in April 2009. VolcanoDiscovery organized 5 special expeditions to stay on Krakatau for 4-5 days & nights, to document the activity of this extraordinary volcano.
