Nouvelles et actualités: Santiaguito (Santa Maria, Guatemala)

Wed, 27 Feb 2013, 18:14
No changes in activity occurred at the volcano, which continues to produce small to moderate ash explosions from the dome and weakly alimented block lava flows on its flanks.
Tue, 26 Feb 2013, 17:21
Weak to moderate explosions generate light ash plumes that drifted to the east towards the las Aldeas Belén and Calaguache areas. ...plus
Fri, 22 Feb 2013, 18:14
No changes in activity were reported today. Ash explosions of small to moderate size with plumes up to about 800 m height occur at rates of 1-2 per hour on average. Only the southeastern lava flow from the dome was reported to be weakly active today.
Wed, 20 Feb 2013, 16:51
Activity continues to be dominated by moderate explosions. Ash plumes rising up to about 700 m, causing light ash fall in nearby areas. The dome shows a 200 m high degassing plume and there is only relatively weak effusive activity at the lava flows on the dome's flanks
Tue, 19 Feb 2013, 17:12
Relatively frequent small to moderate explosions have been occurring today. The activity generated ash plumes rising up to 1-1.5 km above the lava dome and drifting at 13,000 ft (4 km) altitude to the NW.
Sun, 17 Feb 2013, 15:13
Explosive activity remains at moderate levels with explosions reaching up to about 1 km height above the crater. Effusive activity was weak, no activity was observed at the lava flows on the flanks of the lava dome.
Thu, 14 Feb 2013, 15:45
A pyroclastic flow occurred from the NE side of the lava dome and reached the base of Santa Maria mountain. ...plus
Tue, 12 Feb 2013, 09:11
No significant changes have occurred over the past days. Explosions from the lava dome occur at rates of about 1-2 per hour and produce ash plumes rising a few 100 m. The lava flows descending the dome, in particular on the SE side, are weakly active and produce small avalanches.
Thu, 7 Feb 2013, 10:22
Explosive activity continued to pick up a bit again. ...plus [lire toutes]
Mon, 4 Feb 2013, 16:31
Activity has remained the same. Some moderate explosions with plumes rising 800 m were observed during yesterday-today, as well as avalanches from the still active flows on the flanks of the dome.
