Mexico's National Seismological Service (SSN) reported a magnitude 4.2 quake in Mexico near Ayutla de los Libres, Guerrero, only 22 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early morning on Wednesday 5 May 2021 at 3:10 am local time at a moderately shallow depth of 35 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.2 as well.

Bryant AR (2080.3 km NNE of epicenter) [Map] / Weak shaking (MMI III) / horizontal (sideways) swinging / 30-60 s : Woke up to the bed rocking, swaying back and forth and vibrating also. Did startle me. I knew it had to be a car away quake. Mexico quakes take about 24-35 minutes to get to Arkansas. Puerto Rico quakes take 27-43 minutes to get here. | One user found this interesting.
pie de la cuesta, acapulco / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / horizontal (sideways) swinging / 1-2 s : I woke up because my hotel is right on the beach in Pie de la Cuesta, so the waves are noisy, then suddenly I felt a very minor but noticeable swaying on the bed. It was a bit scary, but over in seconds.
