Bakersfield Ca / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / rattling, vibrating / 1-2 s : Just more of a noise than a shake. House rattled but no movement of ceiling fan or chime hanging from it. There was a smaller on 15? Minutes prior. | 6 users found this interesting.  
Greenacres, Kern, California (28.6 km S of epicenter) [Map] / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / rattling, vibrating : It was loud booms hear from a distance but felt a heavy vibration from it. No swaying. Kept going on for a few minutes until more intense booms heard again.  
Bakersfield California 93306 / Weak shaking (MMI III) / single vertical bump / 2-5 s : One sudden boom . Thought something hit my roof. Then I felt rumbling like thunder. I heard there was going to be a fly over today so I thought that's what it was ,a jetthat it broke the sound barrier. not much in the way of rolling or swaying.
