Ellijay ga (27.2 km SSE of epicenter) [Map] / Weak shaking (MMI III) / vibration and rolling / 10-15 s : Sitting in my living room heard a loud rumble sound then the house shook a good bit nothing major, nothing fell or broke. It lasted about 10-15 seconds. | 7 users found this interesting.

She was trying to get us to go to door, very frantic. I guess other animals sense quakes before humans do. Front of house was where most shaking was noted. Moderate intensity.

There is a quarry near by and at first I thought they had done some blasting but you can feel it and hear glass rattle and it’s over pretty quic

Morganton GA (44.4 km E of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / vibration and rolling / 20-30 s : It was a earthquake. We used to live outside of Los Angeles in a small town. This was vibrating tremors. Scared the dog. Everything shaking lightly.  
Hothouse NC (46.7 km E of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / rattling, vibrating / 15-20 s : Loud & rumbling vibrations, like a tractor trailer truck with loud bass music playing pulled up by the house  
Ellijay, GA (25.1 km SE of epicenter) [Map] / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / rattling, vibrating / 2-5 s : Heard a big boom followed by a few seconds of light rumbling vibration. Felt similar to the sonic boom of a shuttle or capsule returning from orbit. (reported through our app)  
Blue Ridge, GA (32 km E of epicenter) [Map] / Moderate shaking (MMI V) / rattling, vibrating / 2-5 s : Was sitting in the living room when I heard a loud boom which sounded like a semi truck hitting cement. Almost felt like it hit our house but knew that was impossible as it's on the side of a mountain. Immediately the whole house was vibrating and shaking

Copperhill Tennessee (24.9 km E of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / vibration and rolling / very short : I was barely sleeping when I heard a rumble go in certain way underneath are trailer and there is no storms out tonight/ this morning

Cleveland, TN, USA (19.6 km NNW of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / rattling, vibrating / 10-15 s : I was in my room, had just woken up. The whole house shook. At first, I thought it was thunder. But it was one isolated shake.

Cleveland, Tennessee (25.6 km NNW of epicenter) [Map] / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / 5-10 s : The rumble was heard before any vibration. It woke up 2 people and all five of us thought it could have been a rocket of some Sort.  
near Chatsworth, Murray, Georgia (10.1 km SSW of epicenter) [Map] / Moderate shaking (MMI V) / rattling, vibrating / 1-2 s : Lying awake in bed. Audible shaking and vibration, very noticeable, knocked a couple pictures off the wall.  
Blue Ridge, GA (36.4 km ESE of epicenter) [Map] / Weak shaking (MMI III) / rattling, vibrating / 5-10 s : Watching TV in bed , felt House vibrate as well as items in the house such as tvs, beds, floor, sounded like a semi coming down our one lane rd  
Blue Ridge, Fannin, Georgia (36.6 km ESE of epicenter) [Map] / Weak shaking (MMI III) / rattling, vibrating / 30-60 s : Sitting at a desk, heard and felt rumbling, like a heavy truck passing by (but no vehicle was present), whole house seemed to vibrate for several seconds, maybe as long as a minute.
