Magnitude 5.5 earthquake strikes near Bāzārak, Panjshir, Afghanistan

An intermediate magnitude 5.5 earthquake was reported around noon near Bāzārak, Panjshir, Afghanistan.
According to the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, the quake hit on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022, at 1:58 pm local time at an intermediate depth of 88.4 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 5.0 earthquake.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Bāzārak (pop. 65,000) located 41 km from the epicenter, Jabal Saraj (pop. 15,000) 74 km away, Nahrin (pop. 22,400) 79 km away, Charikar (pop. 53,700) 86 km away, Pul-e Khumrī (pop. 56,400) 105 km away, Baghlan (pop. 108,400) 115 km away, Kabul (pop. 3,043,500) 132 km away, and Khanabad (pop. 71,500) 135 km away.

I was sitting on the floor of my room when I felt the earthquake. It was much weaker in the first few seconds then got a bit stronger and at the end it was weaker again.
