Small 3.7 quake hits near Yucaipa, San Bernardino County, California, USA

Just 10 minutes ago, a 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck near Yucaipa, San Bernardino County, California, USA. The tremor was recorded early evening on Thursday, July 14th, 2022, at 6:19 pm local time, at a very shallow depth of 0.2 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake which listed the quake at magnitude 3.7 as well.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake was probably felt by many people in the area of the epicenter. It should not have caused significant damage, other than objects falling from shelves, broken windows, etc.
In Oak Glen (pop. 640) located 3 miles from the epicenter, and Yucaipa (pop. 53,300) 3 miles away, the quake should have been felt as light shaking.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Beaumont (pop. 43,800) located 8 miles from the epicenter, Redlands (pop. 71,000) 11 miles away, and Highland (pop. 54,900) 13 miles away.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Moreno Valley (pop. 204,200) located 16 miles from the epicenter, San Bernardino (pop. 216,100) 17 miles away, Rialto (pop. 103,100) 22 miles away, and Riverside (pop. 322,400) 24 miles away.
