Small 3.3 quake hits near Issoire, Puy-de-Dôme, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France

Just 11 minutes ago, a 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Issoire, Puy-de-Dôme, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. The tremor was recorded in the morning on Monday 1 March 2021 at 10:27 am local time, at a very shallow depth of 3 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Lempdes-sur-Allagnon (pop. 1,500) located 3 km from the epicenter, and Saint-Germain-Lembron (pop. 1,700) 8 km away.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Brioude (pop. 7,500) located 15 km from the epicenter, Issoire (pop. 16,000) 17 km away, Le Cendre (pop. 5,100) 37 km away, Cournon-d'Auvergne (pop. 18,800) 39 km away, Cournon-d'Auvergne (pop. 18,800) 39 km away, and Romagnat (pop. 8,800) 40 km away.
