Moderate 4.3 quake hits near Amahai, Maluku, Indonesia

An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 occurred in the evening on Wednesday 10 March 2021 at 8:38 pm local time near Amahai, Maluku, Indonesia, as reported by Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency.
According to preliminary data, the quake was located at a shallow depth of 12 km. Shallow earthquakes are felt more strongly than deeper ones as they are closer to the surface.
