A magnitude 4.6 earthquake near Pampa Honda, Chiapas, Mexico, was reported only 24 minutes ago by Mexico's National Seismological Service (SSN), considered the main national agency that monitors seismic activity in Mexico. The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 22 km beneath the epicenter around noon on Sunday 11 April 2021 at 12:12 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
