An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 occurred early morning on Friday 11 June 2021 at 4:47 am local time near Çan, Canakkale, Turkey, as reported by the National Observatory of Athens (NOA).

According to preliminary data, the quake was located at a very shallow depth of 5 km. Shallow earthquakes are felt more strongly than deeper ones as they are closer to the surface.
