A magnitude 3.0 earthquake near South Lake Tahoe, El Dorado County, California, USA, was reported only 7 minutes ago by the United States Geological Survey, considered the key international and national agency that monitors seismic activity in the US. The earthquake occurred at a very shallow depth of 2.5 miles beneath the epicenter in the evening on Tuesday 20 July 2021 at 8:50 pm local time.
