The Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) reported that a high-resolution satellite image shows lava and what appears to be a new cone within the volcano summit crater. Weak seismic tremor has been detected.
No significant ash or lava signatures are apparent outside the summit crater at this time. Eruptive activity could increase with little or no warning resulting in lava flows outside of the crater, lahars, and low-level ash clouds. During the current eruptive cycle, larger ash clouds have also been produced.
The Aviation Color Code raised to Orange and the Alert Level to Watch.

The Alaskan Volcano Observatory (AVO) report that no significant eruptive activity has occurred over the past 24 hours. No significant seismic data has been detected also. Weakly elevated surface temperatures and a small steam plume were observed in satellite images. Rare clear webcam views also showed this steam plume. AVO note that it remains possible for unrest to escalate at any time with little warning, and additional lava flows, lahars, and ash-producing eruptive events may occur. ... lire toutes
