Style éruptif tipique:
Fortement explosif. Construction de dômes de lave et de grandes coulées pyroclastiques causées par l'écroulement de dôme. Un des volcans les plus grands et des plus actifs du Kamtchatka.

During 13-21 July explosive activity at Shiveluch continued, but at lower intensity than during the previous months. A thermal anomaly on the lava dome is visible on satellite imagery.

Shiveluch volcano continues to be very active, with a growing lava dome and occasional large ash explosions. A strong eruption that produced an ash plume that rose to 6 km altitude occurred on 29 May, Russian scientists from KVERT report. According to a Itar-Tass news entry, the plume eventually reached 7.3 km and the eruption followed an increase of seismic activity. ... [details]
