Sheveluch volcano (Kamchatka): new explosion with ash to 27,000 ft (8 km) at 23h19 GMT on 17 September 2012
A new explosion occurred at Sheveluch volcano on 23:19 GMT on 17 Sep. Based on pilot observations, VAAC Anchorage reports an ash plume to flight level 270, i.e. 27,000 ft altitude (about 8 km). The ash plume is moving rapidly to the SE.
