Shiveluch volcano (Kamchatka) activity update
Explosive-extrusive-effusive eruption of the volcano continues. According to visual and satellite data, a viscous lava flow continues to effuse on the north-western flank of the lava dome, strong and moderate fumarolic activity and incandescence of the dome summit and hot avalanches accompanies this process.

Satellite data showed a thermal anomaly over the lava dome all week.
KVERT mentions that the recently observed ash plume was from a pyroclastic flow that was likely caused by a collapse of a part of the south-eastern sector of the lava dome.
Ash explosions up to 32,800 ft (10 km) a.s.l. could occur at any time and affect international and low-flying aircraft.
