Shiveluch volcano (Kamchatka) activity update
An explosion and/or partial dome collapse produced an ash plume rising to 15,000 ft (4.7 km) last night and drifting east (Tokyo VAAC).

Activity of the growing lava dome after the recent larger collapse on 27 June has remained elevated. Smaller rockfalls and possibly explosions have occurred over the past days, possibly as a result of re-adjustments of the young collapse scar.
