Sinabung volcano (Sumatra, Indonesia): eruption continues, moderately large pyroclastic flow this morning

The volcano continues to be very active. A moderately large pyroclastic flow occurred this morning at 10:04 local time, as a portion of the viscous lava dome accumulating in the summit broke off.
The flow reached approx. 3 km length on the southern slope of the volcano, inside the already devastated and evacuated zone around Sinabung. The associated ash plume rose to about 18,000 ft (5.4 km) altitude.
