Thermal webcam image of the crater area (INGV)
Activity remains elevated. A small lava overflow continues to issue from a breach or a new vent at the northern crater terrace rim and descend on the upper Sciara del Fuoco. Explosion signals on the seismic recording are stronger than usual.

The new lava flow on the evening of 25.12.
The activity at Stromboli has lately increased, as our colleague Marc Szlegat observed over the holidays. Since 23 December small lava overflows occurred from the eastern crater area and produced lava flows with varying length on the upper part of the Sciara del Fuoco. ...plus [lire toutes]

On 22 November, Stromboli emitted a 3 KM high steam plume. The INGV stated that on 22 November, at 13:17 (GMT) a large seismic signal associated with an explosion occurred. The explosion was around 7 times higher than an average explosion. The explosion was followed by 10 minutes of high seismicity.

Current seismic signal from Stromboli (INGV)
The current storm over the Tyrrhenian Sea is probably causing the elevated amplitudes visible in the seismic recordings.
dim., 28 oct. 2012, 11:05
Seismic signal 27 Oct (INGV Catania)
Judging from the current seismograms, activity at the volcano seems to be elevated today with a possibly stronger tremor signal. Due to bad weather, no visible observations are available. ...plus
mer., 3 oct. 2012, 08:46
Current seismic signal from STR station (INGV CT)
Activity remains at similar low to intermediate levels as during the past weeks. Explosions are relatively frequent, but mostly small.
lun., 17 sept. 2012, 10:05
Current seismogram from Stromboli (INGV)
Activity at Stromboli remains at fluctuating low to medium levels with frequent but mostly small explosions every 5 minutes or so.
mer., 12 sept. 2012, 10:05
Stromboli's seismic signal suggests that activity is low these days. Weak explosion signals are visible every 5 minutes or so.

Current seismic signal from Stromboli (INGV)
Activity is a low to medium levels with relatively small explosions. Tremor is continuing to decrease.
