Ubinas volcano (Peru): weekly volcanic activity report 30 September - 6 October 2019

The Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP) recorded and analyzed 3769 seismic events with the eruptive process. Seismic activity and thermal anomalies would be associated with the rise and proximity of magma onto the surface.

Surveillance cameras have recorded continuous emissions of bluish gases (magmatic origin) and water vapor. Emissions reached less than 7 km (23 000 ft) altitude.

Ubinas volcano (Peru) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 18 September-24 September 2019 (Continuing Activity)
During 16-22 September the number of seismic events totaled 4,356, with volcano-tectonic (VT) signals being the most numerous, averaging 567 events per day, and all having magnitudes under M 2.5.
