09:41 AM | AUTEUR : TOM PFEIFFERSanta Maria volcano's Santiaguito crater remains at elevated level of activity. Frequent ash explosions produce plumes reaching up to 3 km above the crater, and sometimes small pyroclasitic flows, decending the NE and NW flanks. Ash fall is frequent over the localities El Faro, Patzulín, La Florida and others.
