Klyuchevskoy (Kamchatka): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 30000 ft (9100 m) altitude or flight level 300 and is moving at 10 kts in E direction.

The activity of the volcano has continued to increase during the past days: intense strombolian activity is visible during the day, accompanied by constant ash emissions that reach up to 30,000 ft (9 km) altitude, i.e. up to approx. 4 km height above the summit.
Currently, no lava flow seems to have left the crater, where a strong thermal signal from the whole of the vast summit crater can be detected on satellite data.

Given these observations, it is likely that lava flows are currently pooling inside the crater. An outbreak of lava flows to the upper flanks could occur any time.
