Volcanic activity worldwide 15 Apr 2020: Stromboli volcano, Klyuchevskoy, Popocatépetl, Semeru, Duk...

Stromboli (Eolian Islands, Italy): A new lava flow has started to descend on the Sciara del Fuoco since this morning, INGV Catania reported:
"... from about 07:23h UTC (09:23 local time), the surveillance cameras show a lava overflow from the northern crater area on the crater terrace of Stromboli. Incandescent blocks detaching from the lava flow front are rolling down the Sciara del Fuoco."
The activity of the volcano has been again relatively high during the past two weeks, characterized by frequent explosions. The current lava flow, caused by yet another surge of magma that has risen in the conduit, is probably similar to numerous such episodes that have occurred at the volcano during the past months.

Klyuchevskoy (Kamchatka): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 20000 ft (6100 m) altitude or flight level 200 and is moving at 25 kts in NE direction.

Suwanose-jima (Ryukyu Islands): (15 Apr) Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo recorded at 02:36 local time an explosion that generated an ash plume which reached approx. 4,000 ft (1,219 m) altitude.
Incandescence continues to be observed at night.

The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows could affect an area of about 1 km distance from the main crater.

Dukono (Halmahera): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 7000 ft (2100 m) altitude or flight level 070 and is moving at 5 kts in E direction.

CENAPRED recorded one explosion at 23:16 local time with ejecta thrown onto the volcano's slopes. An ash plume rose 4,921 ft (1,500 m) above the summit and drifted northeast.
186 emissions of water vapor, gases and minor ash content occurred. The plumes were dispersed towards the east and southeast direction.
