15:58 PM | AUTEUR : TPopocatépetl in Mexico continues to produce small mostly steam emissions at high frequency (120 during 11-12 Nov), sometimes with small amounts of ash. The crater continues to glow at night.
Fuego volcano has been relatively quiet during the past day, with no explosion reported by INSIVUMEH. The lava flow is still weakly active but has decreased to 200 m length.
The blocky lava flows descending the flanks of Santiaguito have remained active, and there are occasional weak explosions from the dome.
Reventador volcano in Ecuador remains the currently most active volcano in South America. The volcano observatory reported an new ash emission reaching 17,000 ft (about 5.2 km) altitude, i.e. an ash plume rising about 2 km above the volcano this morning.
The other volcanoes in Central and South America have not shown significant variations and mostly been quiet.
Sakurajima volcano has been much calmer with only 1-2 weak to moderate explosions after the phase of intense explosions during 8-9 Nov.
A thermal anomaly was visible at Tinakula volcano in the Solomon Islands on 23 Oct, suggesting that some intermittent activity could be going on there.
