Moderate-to-strong explosions continue to erupt at regular intervals of 9 to 12 per hour.
Near-frequent ash emissions reached up to approximately 16,000 ft (4,900 m) altitude and extended about 15-20 km to the southwest of the volcano.
A satellite image from 24 July confirms elevated surface temperatures in the summit crater that suggests a flux of magma within the edifice.
